Glimpses of Hong Kong...

I haven't really been in the mood to blog lately, so I thought I'd just let the photos do the talking. These are from a recent trip to Hong Kong. On the recommendation of a friend, I went to visit Stanley. I'd also planned to go see the giant Buddha, but it was very hazy so I ended up in the mall instead. (Surprise, surprise!)

Mongkok Shopping district ^^^^

Cute signage in Harbour City Mall. (This mall also had an awesome, free mobiel phone charging service, which saved my butt when both my camera and phone batteries ran down. 15mins and my phone was fully charged. Win!)

Taken from the train on the way into the city.

Hah- I've seen some interesting station names, but "Hang On"???

Light & Sound show. I lucked out and went on a day they do the show in English. Not bad for a 3mp camera phone photo!

Fish in the supermarket. I liked the colours.

Stanley Harbour. Pretty place, but it was very hot. To my dismay, shortly after I took this photo, I realised I'd left all of my spare camera batteries in my cabin bag. Luckily for me, I still had my phone. Phew! Not an entirely wasted photo opportunity then. I also visited the Martime Museum which was surpringly fun.

Various moscaic murals lined an alley that I traversed on the hunt for Mel's Michelin-starred dim-sum restaurant. Sadly for me, I got lost and turned up too late to eat before they closed. I'd have happily have taken anything, but the door-lady was firm!!!!
